My Saturday

Well, it's the weekend again, and guess what happened in Kalo's world? That's right, went to another function with the SHS. This time it was a little different, our group joined up with a local Vets office to try and raise funds for Pet oxygen masks. Now, I have to admit, I was a little grumpy getting into the thing initially, especially when I found out we couldn't even wear our Volunteer shirts and had to get up at 5:30. After doing some research and getting into the fun of the event, I realized how important these things are for us animal lovers. No one wants to think about your home having a fire, but we do think about our pets, wouldn't it be wonderful if every fire department was equipped with these items? Like can be used for all different animals from ferrets to dogs. Depending on where they are bought, the cost ranges anywhere from $55 to $200 for a set of 3. So hopefully yesterday we raised enough with the yardsale to buy a few sets.

Graduation Party

Josh's party went really well last week. I realized that I hadn't posted any pictures or said anything more about it. Jack did a wonderful job of cooking, Mom and Wendy hustled around helping me set up. "A good time was had by all" I think lol Isn't that the strangest term? Anyways, Josh seemed to really enjoy everything, or maybe is was just a relief to be a graduate. Just thought i'd share some pictures.

Me and Josh after the ceremony.

Vintage T's

Mom tells me there is a strange theory that she has a vintage Pepsi t-shirt. Well, lo and behold, guess who checked there t-shirts and found a Coca-Cola one, complete with holes and ripped seams? Do ya think I could get extra for it? Check out the pic and let me know.

Happy Fathers Day!

Like Judi, I have had 2 men in my life that have treated me like a daughter. First is my birth Dad, whom I love and admire very much. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see him very often, but he is a very important part of my life. So today, and everyday, I wish him Happy Fathers Day, I love you Dad!

Second, my "Stepdad" Jack. For the past 28 years he has been here for me through thick and thin. From moving furniture, to cooking hamburgers. How can you say thank you enough for someone who has always been there? I honestly think he would give someone the shirt off his back if they needed it. So today, here's to you Jack. I love you!

Happy Graduation!!

Today my Josh graduates from High School. I'm so very proud of him. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. From this little creature that entered my life, to this fine young man that he has become. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any pictures before he left, but you can be guaranteed that there will be plenty at the ceremony.
There is a great country song by Rascal Flatts that I have "dedicated" to him, look up the lyrics if you get a chance, I'm sure those are words that we all wish for special people in our lives. Here's to you "Squash Man", YOU DID IT!!!

Saturday

Well another busy day here in Kalos World. Had to take Buck to the eye doctor this morning, went and did a few errands, spent money at Walmart...of course. Came home, picked up Josh went and got our hair cut. I ALMOST took the plunge and did the Locks of Love thing, but I just couldn't. Did end up getting almost 6" cut off, few it feels better. Came home and the guys and I finished putting down all the mulch, things are looking up. Probably gonna be a busy week, but feels like I've got a lot accomplished already. Here's some pics of the house with the new mulch and flowers. I think it looks great.
