Deb Update

Just to give everyone an update. Deborah has been moved out of ICU into the step down unit, but still needs everyones prayers. She got to spend some time with her daughter on Saturday, her docs really felt it would be beneficial for her. They have found the whole in her heart isn't as bad as they thought and evidently a lot of people have it and it never causes any problems, go figure. She will continue with her speech therapy and OT and hopefully her docs will have some information in the next couple of days. She does have a new mass in her brain stem which could be deadly, so that's not a good thing.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, please keep it up. They sure do need them.

Prayer Request

Some of you may remember that I asked for a prayer request a while back for a friend of mine's daughter. Well, prayers are asked for again for this young woman. She has a beautiful 2 year old daughter named Isabelle and is back in the hospital with a cerebral bleed and has had a stroke. Today they found out that she has had a stroke and also has a whole in her heart. My heart is just breaking for her as a mother, and as a friend. Her mother Chris has been one of my best friends for 18+ years and I have watched Deb grow up. So please, if you can do nothing but say a prayer after you read this or whenever you say your prayers, please include Deborah in them. Her daughter needs her mother and none of us could imagine as a parent losing their child.

My First Ever SDV

Just got back from my first SDV with the girls, and what an experience!! Wow, I have forgotten how crazy scrapbookers can be, lol. Got there Saturday morning and the girls were in full swing. Got setup next to Mom and started making cards. Learned some great new techniques (thanks Agent Duck) met some nice people and even did some shopping. Had a great session of reflexology last night, and it won't be the last. Ended up heading off to bed around 12:30 or so. Was up early this morning and back at the card making, before coming on home. Thanks to everyone for a good time, to Wendy for letting me borrow so much, Judi for the pink shirt and card box, and Mom for being my table/aisle mate :) Had fun guys!

1st Annual Blogger Blast

I think our Blogger Blast was a huge hit! Thanks Judi and Wendy for coordinating it all. I met some great people and had an amazing time. Not sure who I laughed more at. It was great to put faces to blogs and get to meet everyone in person. And thanks Mandy and Judi for the cute gifts. I have to say Mandy kept me in stitches, how funny is she! Thought I'd post my pics that I took of our event, didn't get many, but it was still fun. And Judi, my first post was January of 2008 thanks to Wendy for helping me set it up.

Logging In

So I have mentioned to a couple of people that I can't leave comments on their blogs. This is really irritating!! I've tried a couple of different ways to do it, and I'm still not able to. Not sure if it's my blog or the user, ugh! First off, I can sign into my blog, do whatever I want then if I go to another blog, it signs me right off and yes, I have checked the "remember me" box. Seems like there are just certain blogs where it won't let me comment. For example, on Wendys, Joyce's (Mom), Gary's and Amanda's, I can leave comments. But anyone else, it won't let me. I'm so aggravated by it, anyone have any ideas?

Pedicure

Buck got me a gift certificate for a pedicure for my birthday, so today, 3 months later I decided to use it. Here's some things I have figured out.

#1 Make sure you leave plenty of information lying around from the shop that you usually go to.
#2 If when you enter the shop, 5 people say hello, and you only understand 1 of them, see if you can get a refund.
#3 When they ask you what color you'd like and it sounds like someone is texting outloud, i.e. "Wut colar u wnt", just shake your head yes.
#4 When the water is so hot in the bowl, that it nearly shrivels your skin, might want to wait until after they add some cold (if they can understand you)
#5 Never, I mean NEVER go to the grocery store afterwards. You know, when you have your flip flops on because you don't want to mess up the $25 pedicure, you might just end up with a jammed toe.
#6 I am seriously in the wrong business. When someone who spends less than 20 minutes on a pedicure and they get $25?!?!?! WTH!!!!!

But, I do have pretty toes now.

It's me

It's pretty bad when your fiance' mentions you have to update your blog, lol. What can I say, I just go about my life, day by day. I could talk about work. But work is work, I've met some pretty amazing people there. Some patients that I have seriously become attached to. Or I could talk about our recent trip to Dover Downs where I found not 1 but 2 wallets. Yes, I turned them over to security. I was kind of surprised about that one tho, figured anyone who knew me would know it was a no brainer that I turned them in. Honestly never thought about keeping them, must have been that candy bar I took when I was 11 and Mom made me take it back to the store and apologize. Yeah mom, the lesson stuck lol Plus the whole Karma thing, I never really thought about keeping them, they weren't mine to keep. So, I put that out there for those who may have had something happen to them like that. Yes, it was a very public place with an enormous amount of people coming and going, but what do you think?
